Freshman Year...
With this year drawing to a close, I wanted to add one last update before summer. I've had an excellent set of final exhibitions and projects in math, physics, digital art, and humanities. Many thanks to my amazing teachers for helping me have a great school year. Also, a fond farewell to John Fisher, my humanities teacher, who will be going to San Juan Community College next year. He will be missed!
My SLC Reflection
For my first SLC (Student led Conference), I felt organized and confident that it would be an easy, useful experience. Even so, I felt like the organization part of the conference was a little over- emphasized, especially for me. I am generally not a very organized person, so it doesn’t bother me to be a little disorganized. In the case of my SLC, I thought that I was organized enough to meet the standards, but that I could and probably should have worked harder to be more organized and prepared .Since my SLC, I haven’t really done much to follow up with my parents, but in general, I keep them posted on what is going on at school. Also, after my SLC, I have started paying more attention to how I feel about my work. I think that over all, I feel a sense of ownership over all of my projects and assignments.
